Damage & Liability Policy

Effective Date: 09-07-2026

SafeTurn is committed to handling every customer's belongings with the highest level of care. However, moving and transportation involve certain unavoidable risks. This policy explains how damage-related matters are handled.

1. Reporting Damage

Any visible damage or missing item must be reported to SafeTurn within 24 hours of delivery.

Reports received after 24 hours may not be eligible for investigation.

2. Claim Submission

To submit a claim, the customer should provide:

  • Booking details
  • Photographs or videos of the damaged item
  • Description of the damage
  • Estimated date and time when the damage was noticed

3. Investigation

SafeTurn will review each claim based on available evidence, including:

  • Packing records (if available)
  • Loading and unloading observations
  • Customer photographs or videos
  • Driver and labour statements
  • Any other relevant evidence

SafeTurn may contact the customer for additional information before making a decision.

4. Compensation

If SafeTurn determines that damage occurred due to proven negligence by its team, an appropriate resolution may be offered.

The resolution may include:

  • Repair assistance
  • Partial compensation
  • Replacement support (where appropriate)
  • Any other mutually agreed solution

Compensation shall never automatically equal the original purchase value of the item.

5. Items Not Covered

SafeTurn shall not be responsible for:

  • Existing damage before packing
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Mechanical or electrical failures unrelated to transportation
  • Internal damage where external packing is intact
  • Damage caused by poor quality or old furniture
  • Items packed entirely by the customer
  • Damage caused due to customer instructions against SafeTurn's recommendation
  • Damage resulting from natural disasters, riots, road accidents beyond reasonable control, or other force majeure events

6. Fragile & High-Value Items

Customers must declare all fragile and valuable items before packing. If special handling or additional packing is recommended and declined by the customer, SafeTurn's liability may be limited.

7. Customer-Packed Items

Items packed completely by the customer will be transported with care. However, SafeTurn cannot guarantee protection against internal damage caused by insufficient packing.

8. Delay in Claim

Claims reported after the prescribed reporting period may not be accepted, as verification becomes difficult after delivery.

9. Final Decision

Every claim will be reviewed individually. SafeTurn's decision will be based on the available evidence, operational records, and the circumstances of the move.

10. Contact
